Sometimes when you are trying to download an app from Google Play Store, you may encounter an error code 18. There can be a few reasons for this error code to appear. One could be that the date and time on your device are incorrect. 

Another reason could be that your device is low on storage space and cannot complete the download. Let’s look at a few solutions when you are faced with this error.

  1. Set Date and Time Correct

    If the date and time on your device are wrong, you might get an error code 18 when trying to download an app from the Play Store. Set the time right to solve the problem.

    – Tap on ‘Settings’ in your app menu.
    Scroll down to ‘Date/Time’ and select it.
    – Uncheck the ‘Automatic Date and Time’ option so that you can manually set it.
    – Correct the date and time on your device.
    Restart your device.

  2. Clear Data and Cache

    – Go to ‘Settings’ in your app menu.
    – Tap on ‘Apps’ and underneath ‘All’ scroll down to ‘Google Play Store’ and tap on it.

    – Now return to ‘Apps’ and tap on “Google Service Framework.’
    – Tap on ‘Clear Cache’ and ‘Clear Data.’
    – Finally, return to ‘Apps’ for the last time and tap on ‘Download Manager.’

  3. Check Storage Space
